Hi, i'm Jonathan :)

Welcome to my world

Singer + Songwriter + Guitarist = The mathematics of Me though in truth English is more my kinda thing. In fact to be more "precise" it's the wondrous collision of a language marrying into the eternal  love of guitars, drums , bass, keys, synths and whatever other pieces  of history it may be yearning for. Yes! music does and always will, move me to astonishment! I love it with all my heart ,  I need it, it's a lifeblood ,it makes up so much of my identity and it  blesses me with untold purpose.

For me making music is about much more than entertainment. It's about expression, challenge, and the perpetual pursuit of emotional truth. Songwriting graces me with an ability to tap into these realms and reveals a vista to this life of mine. To boot there is a profound joy in knowing that songs I write may touch someone’s heart, stir their memories, or inspire them in their own journey. It is  this connection that sustains my love for songwriting, guiding me to delve deeper into my craft and seeking new ways to articulate the human experience.

My second single, Piracy, is a cinematic, nostalgic and quietly devastating reflection on counterfeit “love”, emotional distortion and the illusions we inherit. At its heart lies the haunting lyric: “I don’t know what to believe”, a line that becomes all the more believable the deeper you fall into the song’s quiet reckoning.

Piracy unfolds as a metaphor for emotional forgery, exploring false intimacy, counterfeit connection and the myths of love that shape us. Beneath its layered production lies a quiet meditation on the personal cost of believing in illusions and the slow unravel of trust when reality breaks through.

The song is anchored to a childhood memory at Benone Beach, where a message in a bottle was cast into the sea under the silent gaze of Mussenden Temple. Months later, the bottle was found by a nurse named Laura in Liverpool. Her handwritten reply, sent in January 1991, became a moment of unexpected and graceful connection that lingers beneath the song’s emotional surface.

Piracy reflects the tension between innocence and experience, charting the journey from misplaced belief towards clarity. It carries the weight of navigating what is false and arriving at a deeper understanding of what love must now mean. Its sound mirrors that reckoning: quiet, cinematic and unflinching.

When Piracy closes, it does not end in despair. The song resolves with surrendered strength, carried by the quietly truthful line: “No man’s an island.”
